Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer for a major pharmaceutical client in Belgium. You will lead technical electrical requirements for investment and improvement projects, acting as the single point of contact for scoping, specifications and supplier selection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electricity, electromechanics, or energy.
• Proven experience in electrical engineering and project delivery within an industrial environment.
• Strong command of LV distribution, switchboards, and earthing systems.
• Solid knowledge of Belgian RGIE standards; able to write specifications and supervise on-site installations.
• Fluent in French and English; able to work in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical single point of contact for electrical requirements within industrial investment projects.
• Develop electrical specifications and manage RFQ processes while ensuring compliance with standards.
• Analyze supplier proposals and justify technical selections based on compliance, safety, and maintainability.
• Oversee on-site execution and coordinate with construction management to ensure as-built alignment with project requirements.
• Manage technical deliverables including calculation notes, electrical drawings, and regulatory compliance files.
• Design and specify LV distribution, MCC, and backup power systems.
• Facilitate project acceptance by external bodies and ensure RGIE/ATEX compliance.
