Antwerp Space is a leading Belgian space engineering company seeking an experienced Quality Assurance engineer with a strong EEE background and ECSS standards expertise. You will implement quality control during space hardware manufacturing and collaborate closely with the Quality Manager, project team members, suppliers and customers.

Candidates should be Belgian residents with English proficiency; Dutch is an asset.

Qualifications

  • Top-level knowledge of EEE with significant experience.
  • Experience with ECSS standards, especially ECSS‑Q‑ST‑60C.
  • Familiarity with the European Space Agency ECSS series of standards is preferable.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
  • Positive, problem‑solving approach and assertive mindset for coordinating with suppliers and teams.
  • Ability to develop knowledge in product assurance disciplines as required to manage quality aspects in projects.

Responsabilités

  • Perform quality control activities during Space hardware manufacturing.
  • Perform incoming inspection on material types used in Flight Hardware.
  • Generate quality records and maintain full materials and process traceability.
  • Ensure that quality requirements are fully specified and flowed down to suppliers.
  • Perform supplier quality assurance activity, performance monitoring and reviews.
  • Manage control of Non‑Conforming material or product.
  • Manage compliance to Customer requirements and associated deviations.
  • Chair quality related reviews and meetings (EQSR, MPCB, MRR, TRR, DRB, etc.).
  • Chairing EEE parts control board meetings, internally and with customers.

Who are we looking for?
  • We are seeking candidates with an exceptional technical background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), specifically within the electro and electro‑mechanical industries. Expertise in the space industry is essential.
  • Candidates need to be Belgian or residents of Belgium for several years.
Required technical competence
  • Top‑level knowledge of EEE is a critical requirement, with significant experience in this domain.
  • Experience with ECSS standards, particularly ECSS‑Q‑ST‑60C, is essential.
  • Familiarity with the European Space Agency ECSS series of standards is preferable.
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
  • Positive, problem‑solving approach.
  • Assertive personality to accomplish your goals toward suppliers, team members and customers.
  • Ability to develop good knowledge in the different product assurance disciplines as required to manage the quality aspects in projects.
Where do you fit in?

You will be responsible for implementing Quality Control and providing Product Assurance for Space projects. You will be working closely with the Quality Manager, Project team members, suppliers and customers.

  • Performing all quality control activities during Space hardware manufacturing.

  • Implementing EEE parts control and ensuring quality level requirements are met.
  • Chairing EEE parts control board meetings, internally and with customers.
