UTEK: Software Development Engineer 2025

UTEK , a leading company in the development of unmanned systems, is looking to fill a position for a Software Development Engineer.

Company sector and activity: R&D area of a company specialized in the development of unmanned systems, mainly in USV (Unmanned Surface Vehicles).

Position: Software Development Engineer.

The activities at UTEK for the Software Development Engineer will focus on the development of software applications, both in a Windows environment and for embedded Linux systems, in various phases, from specification generation to final integration with the vehicle or final acceptance tests by the client.

The person selected for the position will be involved in different projects related to unmanned vehicles, as well as their ground control stations, payloads, and integration with other external systems.

Requirements

The candidate should possess most of the following capabilities:

• Programming in:
  • C and C++;
  • Linux.
• Knowledge of communications over IP.
• High level of English.
• Ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
• Well-organized and methodical.
• Willingness to travel.

Preferred

• Knowledge of:
  • Communication buses CAN, RS232, etc.;
  • Environments:
    • Qt;
    • ffmpeg or similar;
    • Nautical.
• PER or similar.
• Basic knowledge and interest in unmanned systems.
