FMA Services seeks experienced E&I QA/QC Inspectors to support on-site inspections for a large-scale industrial project in Wisconsin. You will verify installations against drawings, ITPs, and applicable standards, and ensure that handover packages and documentation are complete and compliant.

Candidates should have 5+ years in E&I QA/QC or inspection within process or heavy industry, with knowledge of wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and ATEX/AREI.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in E&I QA/QC or inspection in process/heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of E&I installation practices and technical documentation.
• Experience with ITPs, NCR processes, test packs, and turnover dossiers.
• Knowledge of ATEX/AREI is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Perform inspections on electrical and instrumentation installations on site according to ITPs and drawings.
• Check cable trays, supports, gland/termination, earthing, junction boxes, and instruments.
• Verify test records, calibration certificates, torque records, and other quality documents.
• Prepare and follow up on inspection reports, RFIs, punch items, and NCRs.
• Coordinate hold/witness points with client, contractor, and project disciplines.
• Review redlines and as-built input before handover.

About the Position

For the quality follow-up of E&I installation and handover, we are looking for multiple E&I Quality Inspectors.

You perform inspections on site, check test and quality documentation, and ensure that installations demonstrably comply with drawings, specifications, ITPs, and applicable standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Performing inspections on electrical and instrumentation installations in accordance with ITPs and approved drawings.
• Checking cable tray, supports, cable installation, gland/termination, earthing, junction boxes, instruments, and hook-ups.
• Verifying continuity/insulation test records, calibration certificates, torque records, and other quality documents.
• Assessing installation workmanship and checking ATEX/Ex details where applicable.
• Preparing and following up on inspection reports, RFIs, punch items, observations, and NCRs.
• Coordinating hold/witness points with client, contractor, and relevant project disciplines.
• Checking redlines, as-built input, and completion dossiers before handover.
• Following up on corrective actions and confirming that deviations are correctly resolved and documented.

Your Profile

• Experience as an E&I QA/QC Inspector, Electrical Inspector, or Instrument Inspector in the process industry or heavy industry.
• Thorough knowledge of E&I installation practices and technical documentation such as wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, cable schedules, and hook-ups.
• Knowledge of AREI and ATEX/IEC 60079 is highly desirable.
• Experience with ITPs, NCR processes, test packs, and turnover dossiers.
• You are independent, accurate, and strong in technical communication with contractors and supervisors.
• Good knowledge of English; Dutch is an asset.

Education & experience

Education: Bachelor/TSO in electricity, instrumentation, or electromechanics

Experience: Minimum 5 years in E&I QA/QC or inspection

Certificates & site requirements

• VCA-VOL or VCA-basis depending on project requirements.
• BA5 is highly desirable.
• ATEX/IEC 60079 training or demonstrable Ex-inspection experience is a significant asset.
