Job summary

Liedekerke is seeking a Dutch-speaking lawyer with a strong focus on environmental law to join our regulatory department in Brussels. You will advise clients on permits, waste, soil, water, climate and packaging within an industrial context, taking a front-line role and engaging directly with clients from day one.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of experience in environmental law, be native Dutch with strong English and be capable of managing complex files with autonomy and ownership.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in environmental law, including in an industrial context and advising international corporate clients.
• Native level command of Dutch with very good knowledge of English.
• Demonstrates strong expertise and analytical skills in environmental law.
• Works autonomously with a high level of ownership over their files.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Is resilient, precise and pragmatic.
• Is comfortable taking initiative and assuming responsibility in complex files.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on environmental matters, including permits, waste, soil, water, climate and packaging.
• Provide strategic advice to clients and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Represent clients in administrative and judicial proceedings before relevant courts and authorities when necessary.
