European Investment Bank is seeking a Head of Business Applications & Engineering Division to lead the evolution of the Bank's business applications and integration platforms at its Luxembourg headquarters.

You will guide multidisciplinary technology teams, shape engineering standards, and partner with business units to align roadmaps with strategic goals. This permanent role offers a high-impact leadership career and relocation support.

Qualifications

University degree (Bachelor level) in CS, SE, IT or related field.
At least 10 years of experience leading delivery, operation and lifecycle of business-critical applications.
Proven leadership of multiple technology teams in international environments.
Experience shaping demand and roadmaps with business stakeholders.
Experience across full lifecycle from architecture to retirement with security and resilience.
Ability to define organisation-wide software engineering standards and enablement capabilities.
Strong knowledge of modern integration, cloud, APIs and middleware patterns.
Excellent English; other EU languages advantageous.

Responsabilités

Lead the Division’s portfolio of bespoke business applications, shaping demand and roadmaps while ensuring security and lifecycle discipline.
Define and drive the application integration strategy for secure, scalable platforms.
Build and lead the software engineering enablement capability with common standards and tooling.
Lead and develop the Division’s management team and leadership capabilities.
Ensure delivery portfolio, resources, budget and compliance with regulatory initiatives.
