Unknown company seeks a Senior Cloud Architect to lead design, governance and adoption of Azure cloud solutions across the organization. You will collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security, DevOps and Infrastructure teams to translate requirements into secure, scalable architectures.

You will define cloud standards, reference patterns, and implement IaC and automation leveraging Terraform and Azure DevOps to accelerate innovation and operational excellence.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Cloud Architect with hands-on experience to join a growing Cloud Centre of Excellence (Ccoe) team within a major financial market infrastructure organization. In this role, you will drive the design, governance, and adoption of cloud solutions across the organization. You will work closely with Application, DevOps, Platform, Enterprise Architecture, Security Architecture, Infrastructure, and Network teams to translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud solutions. As a trusted advisor and technical leader, you will define cloud standards, architecture patterns, and engineering best practices while helping teams leverage Azure capabilities to accelerate innovation and operational excellence. Our client's Technology Services division designs, builds, and operates the organization's global technology infrastructure and delivers technology services across its operating entities. This division ensures that technology services are delivered securely, reliably, and cost-effectively while supporting business continuity, operational resilience, and disaster recovery requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support application and DevOps teams in designing and implementing secure, scalable, highly available, and resilient cloud-native and hybrid solutions.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Security Architects, Infrastructure Architects, Network Architects, and Solution Architects to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and technology strategy.
• Translate architectural, security, and resilience requirements into practical technical designs and implementation patterns.
• Define, develop, and maintain cloud architecture standards, reference architectures, reusable patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Drive adoption of cloud governance principles, security controls, and operational excellence practices across engineering teams.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions using TerraForm, Azure DevOps, and Azure-native capabilities.
• Support and continuously evolve the organization's Azure cloud platform and cloud capabilities.
• Design resilient architectures supporting business continuity, disaster recovery, fault tolerance, and operational resilience objectives.
• Contribute to cloud resilience frameworks including RTO/RPO targets, recovery strategies, multi-region architectures, and resilience testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges spanning multiple Azure services and platform components.
• Participate in architecture reviews, governance boards, and security assessments.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote cloud engineering best practices.
• Maintain architecture documentation, standards, technical guidance, and training materials.
