FYEG in Belgium is seeking a Digital Engagement and Campaigns Officer to manage its digital community, support fundraising campaigns, and coordinate with the Executive Committee.

You will work 35 hours per week, with teleworking options, and report to the Secretary General. Fluency in English, volunteer coordination experience, and CRM knowledge are essential.

The role offers a permanent contract, a monthly gross salary of 2550€ and benefits including meal vouchers and transport support.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

  • Dynamising and moderating the digital community of FYEG on the internal platform.
  • Creation of digital fundraising campaigns on Lunda with support from the Communications team.
  • Participation in conceptualisation and preparation of digital campaigns with the Communications Officer.
  • Acting as a bridge between the digital community and the Executive Committee.
  • Managing FYEG’s CRM system.
  • Coordinating and keeping contact with stakeholders to coordinate actions.
  • Support the general functioning and development of FYEG’s activities with ad-hoc tasks.

What is FYEG or the Federation of Young European Greens?

FYEG is an international NGO registered and operating under Belgian law. We are a dynamic youth organisation that unites Green youth movements, young Green activists and Green political organisations from all over Europe. We organise youth projects, summer camps, international trainings, conferences, campaigns, direct actions and serve as a youth lobbying organisation and a platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge among European Green. Role description

The Digital Engagement and Campaigns Officer is responsible for the digital community of FYEG and for supporting the digital campaigning strategy of the organisation. This means managing FYEG’s avenues of participation for digital sympathisers and volunteers and supporting the implementation of FYEG’s digital campaigns and actions: (1) Dynamising and moderating the digital community of the organisation hosted on FYEG’s internal digital platform, (2) Creation of digital fundraising campaigns on Lunda with the support of the Communication and Campaigns Officer, (3) Participating in the conceptualization and preparation of digital campaigns in cooperation the Communication and Campaigns Officer, (4) Acting as a bridge between the digital community and the Executive Committee, and vice-versa, (5) Managing FYEG’s CRM system, (6) Coordinating and keeping contact with relevant stakeholders to create coordinated actions related to the campaigns. The Digital Engagement and Campaigns Officer will also support the general functioning and development of FYEG’s activities with ad-hoc tasks.

This is a position requiring good organisation and time management skills, responsibility, ability to work independently and often with tight deadlines. The Digital Engagement and Campaigns Officer works under the supervision of the Secretary-General of FYEG.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in copy writing;
  • Experience in digital campaigning (petitions, mass mailing,…) and digital organising ;
  • Very good computer skills and digital literacy (knowledge of Action Network or similar Customer Relations Management tools);
  • Experience working with volunteers;
  • Basic experience in online and in-person event planning;
  • Good organisational and time management skills;
  • Ability to take initiative and problem solving attitude;
  • Proficiency in the English language, written and spoken;
  • Good people skills and the ability to work in multi-cultural teams and environments;
  • Good teamwork and personal communication skills;
  • Flexibility to travel and occasionally work during evenings or weekend;
  • Alignment with the goals and values of FYEG.
Additional assets:
  • Previous involvement in a local or international youth organisation;
  • Knowledge and experience with non-formal education methodology;
  • Understanding of Green values such as ecology, feminism, anti-racism and social justice;
  • Basic experience in fundraising, particularly small-donors fundraising;
  • Knowledge of other languages;
  • Experience working in the non-profit sector;
  • Previous participation in FYEG events and bodies;
  • Experience with Discord or similar digital platform.

Working conditions

Job Title: Digital Engagement and Campaigns Officer

Line Manager: Secretary General

Contract: Permanent Contract

Working hours: 35 hours/week over 5 days with flexible working hours, core working hours between 10:00 and 16:00 and possible teleworking

Salary (gross): 2550€/month gross salary (approximately 2185€ net, depending on your personal situation)

Benefits:
  • 8€ worth meal-vouchers for every day worked (averaging 160€/month)
  • Coverage of daily transport between home and work (amount dependent on the distance and mode of transport)
  • Telework allowance of 125€ per month
Holidays:
  • 20 days of paid legal holidays per year
  • additional holidays between December 25th and 31st

Where: The selected candidate will be required to be based in Belgium from the start of the contract in November (exact date negotiable)

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted around the 15th of October and an interview and practical assignment for the position will take place online or in Brussels between 19 and 23 October. The selected candidate will be notified on 28 October.
