Elia has set up a special development program for technicians who want to take on challenges in a constantly evolving energy sector. This program offers you the opportunity to participate in various maintenance and development activities for the high‑voltage grid management systems of tomorrow.
As a Digital Electrical Technician, you will follow a tailored support program spread over several years. During the first three years, you will work intensively with our technical teams to build hands‑on experience, developing extensive knowledge of the high‑voltage world and acquiring specialized skills related to our protection systems (secondary systems). You will become responsible for testing and implementing Elia’s control and protection systems – the “brains” behind our network – and will detect potential faults and propose appropriate solutions.
At the end of the program, you will join a specialized Centralised Commissioning team that carries out tasks such as modifications, incident analysis, and the development of new standards, and is responsible for developing future working methods for integrating new technologies.
