Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in Belgium (Raeren) is seeking a tooling/precision mechanics professional to support tool development and ensure on-time delivery. You will inspect and correct tools, organize trials, monitor high-risk tools, and review supplier proposals. Fluency in German is essential; French and English are assets.

Qualifications

• Technical training or experience in tooling or precision mechanics.
• Experience in press technology is desirable.
• Fluent German; knowledge of French is desirable, and English is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to achieving health, safety, and environmental objectives.
• Ensure the quality of tools, products, and processes.
• Inspect and correct tools in accordance with samples and drawings.
• Meet and ensure on-time delivery (OTD) to customers.
• Develop tooling technology and training.
• Support the introduction of new products: organize the first trial/pressing of a tool.
• Ensure close monitoring of high-risk or problematic tools during extrusion.
• Initiate tool orders and document tool corrections.
• Regularly document progress in the IT system or on paper drawings.
• Review design proposals submitted by tooling suppliers.
