Swift Software is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to oversee the operational excellence and system management of critical applications. The role involves working closely with engineering teams to improve efficiency and reliability of our services.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree, three years of relevant experience, and proficiency in tools like Docker and Kubernetes. The position requires on-site presence three days a week in Terhulpen, Belgium.

Overview

SWIFT is a global provider of secure financial messaging services, supporting more than 12,000 banks and financial institutions across 200+ countries.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

• Deploy changes, patches, and releases in test and production environments.
• Prepare, present, test and execute changes in Production, requiring on‑site presence 3 days per week.
• Perform occasional Production changes outside business hours (± once per month).
• Log, investigate and resolve/escalate operational issues in test and production systems.
• Ensure high availability, data integrity, and security through appropriate controls and validation.

Systems & Platform Management

• Maintain and operate a mission‑critical application deployed across multiple data centers, based on micro‑services and synchronous replication.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to contribute to resiliency and capacity improvements.

DevOps & Continuous Delivery

• Design, maintain, and evolve the DevOps pipeline using technologies such as Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, Ansible, ArgoCD, and others.
• Participate in code and configuration reviews to enforce best practices, resilience, and consistency.
• Promote automation, shift‑left principles, and reliability‑focused engineering.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in change planning and risk mitigation activities.
• Stay up to date on DevOps tools, SRE practices, modern deployment techniques, and industry trends.
• Suggest improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and operational robustness.

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.

• Able to work effectively independently and collaboratively.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) with strong communication skills.
