John Cockerill Energy is seeking a Design Engineer in Belgium to join the proposal team within the Design Engineering department. You will contribute to the thermal and mechanical dimensioning of heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) from early proposal to design phase.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and occasionally clients, supporting technically sound proposals for global energy projects. Strong thermodynamics and energy systems interest is essential.

Qualifications

• Recent Civil or Industrial Engineering graduate (schools such as Gramme, University of Liège, or equivalent).
• Internship in the energy sector is an asset.
• Strong command of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong interest in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics and energy systems.

Responsabilités

• Perform thermal and mechanical dimensioning of HRSGs and components for proposals and project execution.
• Prepare calculation notes and technical specifications.
• Verify mechanical drawings for completeness and compliance.
• Support proposal/project teams during technical clarifications with clients.
• Participate in design reviews and follow up action plans.
• Produce technical deliverables (studies, analyses, reports, presentations).
• Ensure continuity of technical information across project interfaces.
• Contribute to solving technical issues during project execution.
• Maintain and improve team technical expertise via knowledge sharing.
