Atlas Copco Group is seeking a Design Engineer Electrical for Energy Conversion in Wilrijk, Belgium. You translate customer needs into electrical solutions for compressors and dryers, design drawings and parts lists, and write procedures to ensure safety and quality.

You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams, support production, and drive standardization while sharing data globally. Fluent English and EPLAN knowledge are required, with a joint focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with Automation Control / Electric Design.
• Knowledge of EPLAN and English (spoken and written).
• Familiarity with safety procedures, processes and systems.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsabilités

• Translate customer needs into compressor, dryer and accessory electrical solutions and design/modify drawings and parts lists.
• Write procedures and ensure safety and quality through risk analyses.
• Support technicians on the shop floor and validate peers’ work for consistency.
• Collaborate with suppliers, purchasing, competence carriers and internal teams to achieve results.
• Assist quotation team by translating specs into machine requirements and selecting electrical components.
• Contribute to compressor designs, promote standardization and ensure centralized data sharing.

Design Engineer Electrical - Energy Conversion

Your role

As a design engineer electrical, your mission is to translate customer needs into tailored compressor, dryer, and accessory solutions. In this role, you report to the Team Leader Electrical Design and contribute to delivering reliable and high-quality electrical solutions for our products.

You develop and evaluate technical alternatives, identify potential risks, and select the most effective solution for each project. You are responsible for the design and modification of technical drawings and parts lists, writing procedures, and ensuring the safety and quality of your designs through thorough risk analyses.

During the production process, you support technicians, help resolve technical issues, and validate the work of peers to ensure consistency and quality. You collaborate closely with suppliers in coordination with the purchasing manager, as well as with competence carriers and various internal teams to achieve the best technical outcomes.

In addition, you support the quotation team by translating specifications into machine requirements and selecting the appropriate electrical components. Working closely with the project team, you contribute to compressor designs, promote standardization, and ensure centralized data sharing within the Global Engineering team.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, graduated in the field of Automation Control, Electric Design
