Job summary

Deputy MLRO role in Belgium with a leading European insurance group. You will manage AML investigations and monitoring within a small team of 5 compliance staff, taking on additional responsibilities at junior-mid level.

Candidates should have 3+ years AML experience from financial services or consulting, with strong English and preferably French, Dutch or German. EU citizenship or right to work in Belgium is preferred.

Job description

We are currently supporting the Belgian arm of a leading European insurance group with their recruitment for a Deputy MLRO.

This is a diverse and rewarding opportunity, which could offer a strong career boost to a junior-mid level AML professional, who is looking to take on extra responsibility in a small team (5 compliance staff). Our client are willing to consider candidates with 3 years + AML experience from the wider financial services and consulting sectors.

Key responsibilities will include conducting AML investigations, conducting AML monitoring as well as AML reporting. You would interact regularly with the regulator, the NBB on AML obligations and their inclusion in the group compliance framework.

You should ideally hold EU citizenship or a right to work in Belgium. A proficiency in English is essential, ideally with either French, Dutch or German is preferred.
