Job summary

Data Wizards in Belgium seeks a Data Scientist to lead end-to-end data science initiatives, from modeling to deployment across cloud environments. You will collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions.

You’ll build and optimize machine learning models, drive POC experiments to production, and communicate insights clearly to non-technical teams, fostering data-driven decisions.

Background

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related technical field.

• 4+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI-driven projects.

• Experience in diverse industries and solutions, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills is considered as a plus.
  

Technical Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.

• Expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn), statistical analysis and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow or PyTorch).

• Hands-on experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).

• Proficiency with Git for collaborative code management.

• Practical knowledge of distributed computing tools like Apache Spark.

• Experience deploying ML models and following MLOps best practices.

• Understanding of data engineering principles to support scalable AI solutions.

• Ability to design and implement proof-of-concept (PoC) projects and scale them into production.

• Ability to build clear, actionable dashboards using Power BI or Tableau to communicate findings to business stakeholders is a plus.
