Appsierra Group in Brussels seeks a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines on Azure and Databricks. You will collect, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources and ensure governance across the platform.

You will enable AI-ready analytics, build datasets for grid studies, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate data needs into solutions. Strong Python, SQL, and data processing knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Python with proven project experience.
• Knowledge of R (data.table) is a strong asset.
• Fluent with advanced Excel features and VBA.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and data access frameworks.
• Knowledge of Databricks, Azure and PySpark is required.
• Good understanding of scalable and distributed data processing.
• Ability to develop and maintain data pipelines and analytical datasets.
• Experience building dashboards and reporting with Power BI or Streamlit.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and AI-enabled data solutions is an asset.
• Experience with Git and collaborative software development practices.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines on Azure and Databricks.
• Collect, transform and integrate data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, traceability and governance across the data platform.
• Manage and optimize Azure Data Lake, Databricks workspaces and distributed data processing environments.
• Develop data models and datasets to support grid studies, scenario management and business analytics.
• Enable and support AI, Machine Learning and advanced analytics use cases by providing trusted and well-governed datasets.
• Explore and implement AI-driven solutions to improve data quality, automate processes and enhance decision-making.
• Implement monitoring, automation and performance optimization of data workflows.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical and AI-enabled solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation in Markdown and Confluence.
