fortil in Belgium seeks a medior or senior Data Scientist with at least 3 years' experience to develop GenAI-powered applications for finance. You will apply GenAI methods, build predictive models, and deploy solutions in production while communicating results to top management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering or equivalent.
• Min. 3 years of experience in Data Science & Analytics.

• Analytical mindset, autonomous, business-oriented, strong communicator.

Mission

We are looking for a medior or senior Data Scientist with a minimum of 3 years' experience and a proven track record in developing generative AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI applications (virtual assistant, process automation, enhanced client experience)
• Apply GenAI & predictive methodologies: Prompt Engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, speech-to-text, agentic applications, NLP
• Program in Python and deploy AI applications in production
• Communicate results directly to top management
• Work in an Agile organisation with multicultural teams

Technical skills

• Python, deep learning, pre-trained models (mandatory)
• Git, Domino, GenAI frameworks: LangGraph, ADK, MCP (preferable)
• GenAI experience in a Finance context (preferable)

Profile

• Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, mathematics, engineering) or equivalent
• Min. 3 years of experience in Data Science & Analytics
