Pauwels Consulting seeks an OT Data Engineer to oversee end-to-end data processing for real-time field data and to maintain infrastructure for high-availability platforms. You will design pipelines, ensure stability, and drive data quality across systems in a hybrid Belgium-based setup.

You will work with field data, SQL/PLSQL, Linux/Unix and Oracle environments while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver robust data products and integrations. Fluency in Dutch (C2) is required for this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a system administrator in ICT infrastructure.
• 4+ years building data products and managing integrations.
• 4+ years Linux environments and Unix/Windows system engineering.
• 4+ years Oracle environments with SQL/PLSQL.
• Scripting with Python and Shell.
• Bachelor or Master in a technical field.
• Dutch language fluency at C2 level.

Our client, a prominent organization in the utilities sector, is looking for an OT Data Engineer to oversee end-to-end data processing for real-time field data. The role focuses on developing data pipelines and maintaining infrastructure to ensure the availability and performance of business-critical platforms.

• Manage end-to-end OT data processing from field sensors to historical data platforms.
• Design and manage infrastructure and pipelines to facilitate data access for analysts and scientists.
• Ensure system stability, security, and performance through regular health checks, upgrades, and patching.
• Implement necessary data refreshes and maintain high standards for data quality management.
• Develop new business integrations and data products through continuous research and optimization.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical data solutions.

• You bring 5+ years of experience as a system administrator within ICT infrastructure environments.
• You possess 4+ years of experience building data products and managing technical integrations.
• You have 4+ years of experience with Linux environments and system engineering for Unix or Windows systems.
• You bring 4+ years of experience with Oracle environments and relational databases using SQL and PL/SQL.
• You possess professional scripting skills in Python and Shell.
• You have a Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant technical field.
• You're proactive and demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn.
• You are fluent in Dutch with a level of C2.

Nice to Haves

• 2+ years of experience with Apache Cassandra environments.
• Familiarity with OT SCADA systems.
• Experience with Data Management and ISO27001 security standards.
• Experience working with large, business-critical applications.
