Reboot Monkey, a global leader in data center services, seeks a Data Center Technician to provide on-site support at Mechelen facilities. You will perform remote hands, rack installations, cabling, diagnostics, and client access coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on DC infrastructure experience, strong server and network knowledge, and a willingness to lift equipment up to 25 kg. Weekend/on-call availability is required.

• Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centers.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to lift 25kg+ equipment.

The Role

We're looking for a skilled Data Center Technician in Mechelen, Belgium to provide on-site technical support at local data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Remote Hands & Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps)
• Server rack installation and decommissioning
• Cross-connect and patch panel management
• Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Visual inspections and inventory audits
• Escort and access coordination for client visits
• Emergency response and on-call availability

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure
• Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards
• Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centers
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to lift 25kg+ equipment
• Flexible availability including weekends/holidays for urgent requests

Nice to Have

• Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, CCNA
• Experience at major DC providers (Equinix, Digital Realty, NTT, CyrusOne)
• Structured cabling expertise (fiber, Cat6, DAC)
• Data center or IT infrastructure experience
• Server hardware and networking knowledge
• Reliable and professional with strong communication
