Google in Saint-Ghislain, Belgium, operates and maintains some of the world’s most sophisticated data center electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. Facilities Technicians monitor, inspect, and support critical facilities to keep power, cooling and environmental controls running smoothly.

You will read blueprints, assist senior technicians, and contribute to reducing operating costs while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a high-demand data center environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, trade school certification or other verifiable training in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience working with mission critical facility maintenance and operations.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, holidays and on shift-based schedule as required.

Responsabilités

• Operate, monitor, inspect, maintain and respond to abnormal conditions in the data center facilities systems and equipment.
• Monitor multiple information streams in the control room and make accurate mission-critical decisions.
• Be responsible for the uptime, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical distribution systems and power monitoring.
• Provide root cause analysis (RCA), recovery and prevention actions for service failure.
• Prepare and execute operation procedures, respond to work request/service failure and provide operational and technical expertise in required areas.
