Description du poste

The Tribe Daily Banking & Client First, within the Branch Operations & Sales area, is looking for a Data Analyst I. In this role, you will actively contribute to translating our “Together for progress” strategy—the new chapter in our strategic book “Banking Made Simple”—into actionable insights for Financial Experts. Driven by your passion for (i) data & insights, (ii) customers, (iii) branch & digital banking ("Mobile First"), you will support the successful implementation of our Daily Banking product and customer strategy across the branch network, both statutory and independent. You will do this through factual reporting and proactive, in-depth analyses and advice.

A day in the life of a Data Analyst I
  • Building, maintaining, and adapting reports in Cognos or Power BI, aligned with business needs and evolving KPIs.
  • Managing and adjusting data packages, data modules, or data models within these reporting tools to ensure accurate and scalable reporting.
  • Writing and maintaining queries (e.g., in SQL or SAS) to collect the necessary data for reports, with a strong focus on automation and efficiency.
  • Maximizing automation of manual processes using tools like Power Automate, to increase reliability and reduce repetitive tasks.
  • Analyzing report results to:
    • Ensure all presented data is correct and consistent. In case of discrepancies, you proactively communicate with stakeholders and bring the right people together to resolve the issue.
    • Identify and share valuable insights with stakeholders to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
  • When are you successful? Together with the team, you take responsibility for maximizing efficiency and continuous availability of data and performance reports related to all ambitions.
You have:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field — or at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
  • 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in data analysis and data modeling using SQL (required) or Python (a plus), and tools such as SAS, Cognos, and Power BI.
  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Query, or similar automation tools is an extra asset.
  • The ability to translate business questions into analytical problems and deliver clear, visually appealing insights.
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to draw sharp conclusions based on available data.
  • A proactive team player with a strong sense of responsibility who collaborates easily with other teams.
  • Willingness to work 50% of your time from the recently renovated Marnix office in Brussels.
As a Data Analyst I at Daily Banking & Client First, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Play a crucial role in achieving our commercial growth objectives by supporting the statutory branch network.
  • Develop your expertise in a naturally data‑driven and rapidly evolving domain.
  • Grow both your analytical and project management skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Tribe Daily Banking & Client First, Data Management, and other product teams.
The team

The Data Analysts team is responsible for maximizing the impact of the branch network through factual reporting and proactive, in‑depth analyses and advice. The team consists of 3 data experts in the role of data analyst and process managers. They provide Senior Management, Regional and Team Leads, and Financial Experts in our ING branch network with insights to improve performance, customer processes, and sales daily. As part of the Branch Mobile Sales & Business Intelligence domain, the team is jointly responsible for strategic development and maximizing customer satisfaction at branches, efficiency, and (commercial) results.

Here, you will enjoy unique benefits such as:
  • Personal growth & challenging work with room and flexibility to realize your ambitions.
  • Discovering the branch network, a key success factor in achieving commercial goals and high customer satisfaction.
  • An informal and dynamic environment that supports your efforts and values your proactive initiatives.
  • A team that pays attention to team spirit by organizing various activities throughout the year.
