You will translate business needs into data requirements and collaborate with Data Engineers to build the underlying data structures.

The role requires strong SQL skills, familiarity with SAS or Python, and experience with Qlik Sense or similar dashboards.

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst for a long-term assignment within a major organisation in the Financial Services sector in Brussels.

The Role

As a Data Analyst, you will perform in-depth data analysis and reporting to support the monitoring and improvement of financial and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business needs from Marketing, Distribution, Risk and Finance into clear data requirements.
• Analyse multiple data sources, including customer, product, profitability, risk, digital behaviour, CRM and sales data.
• Transform complex datasets into clear and actionable business insights.
• Deliver accurate reports, dashboards and data visualisations supporting business decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers to develop and maintain the underlying data structures required for analysis and reporting.
• Work with SQL, SAS and Python for data analysis and preparation.
• Develop dashboards and visualisations using Qlik Sense.
• Collaborate with Data Governance teams on data concepts, ownership, stewardship and quality.
• Contribute to Data Quality controls and the harmonisation of business and data definitions.

Your Profile

• Relevant experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within Banking or Financial Services.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into business insights.
• Experience with Business Objects.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, with experience in SAS and/or Python.
• Experience with Qlik Sense or similar dashboarding and visualisation tools.
• Understanding of Data Governance and Data Quality principles.
• Strong business orientation and interest in financial, customer and marketing data.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• STEM, Economics or Business degree, or equivalent professional experience.
• Dutch/French bilingualism with a good command of English is a strong asset.
