Job summary

United States Army Installation Management Command in Belgium seeks a qualified candidate for a Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) employee childcare role. The position requires a bachelor's degree with CYS-related major study (≥24 semester hours) or equivalent combination, plus specific experience in child and youth programs and training delivery.

The candidate must meet the program-specific education criteria and demonstrate teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher with major study in child development (≥24 semester hours) including related behavioral science, childhood education, or other appropriate fields.
If CDC/FCC/CLEOS - Early Childhood Education, Child Development and/or Elementary Education; if SAS - Early Childhood/Child Development; Youth Development/Elementary/Sencondary Education for Middle School/Teen programs.
Either QUAL 2: 24 semester hours in an appropriate CYS field plus related work experience comparable to a four-year course of study.
At least twelve (12) months experience working in child and youth programs.
At least one year of experience at the same or similar work level.
Ability to plan and organize work, analyze problems, gather data and identify solutions.
Experience in planning and conducting training for child and youth staff.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
