WLG is seeking a project manager to deliver cyber security capability within a large defence programme in Belgium. You will write statements of work, gather requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage delivery to milestones.

You will brief stakeholders in writing and in person, keep governance updated, and work within the investment programme framework. On-site role in Braine-l'Alleud from October to December 2026.

Qualifications

• Recent project management experience in a large organisation, focused on delivering C4ISR capability in the defence sector.
• At least two years working directly with an alliance or national defence ministry delivering military, CIS or IT capability.
• A detailed understanding of the security investment programme framework used here.
• Significant recent experience writing statements of work for competitive bidding.
• A recognised qualification in the field — PRINCE2 Foundation or PMP, the defence acquisition equivalent at level two, a programme-management or risk credential, Lean Six Sigma, or something comparable.
• Relevant cyber security certification such as Security+, CCSP or CISM.
• Strong English, at professional proficiency, and confident with Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Power BI.

This is project management where the subject matter genuinely matters: delivering cyber security capability inside a large defence programme, with real money, real competitive bidding and real consequences if the requirements are vague.

A great deal of the value sits in the writing — statements of work good enough to bid against, and requirements collected properly from technical and non-technical stakeholders alike. The rest sits in keeping a demanding set of stakeholders informed without drowning them.

The role is full time on site at Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium, from early October to the end of December 2026.
