WLG is seeking a Requirements Engineer to turn operator needs into actionable engineering requirements for cyber and communications monitoring capabilities. You will bridge technical and operational domains, keeping traceability from need through verification.

Ideally you have a cyber security background and experience eliciting, analysing and formalising requirements, with fluency in English and a track record of stakeholder alignment in multinational settings.

• Knowledge of monitoring and detection capabilities and related tooling.
• Clear, testable writing that survives review.
• Ability to reconcile stakeholders across a multinational organisation.

A multinational defence organisation is developing its cyber and communications monitoring capabilities, and needs someone who can turn what operators say they need into requirements an engineering team can build against — and keep the two in step as both move.

What You Would Be Doing

• Supporting the development and management of technical and operational requirements for cyber and communications monitoring capabilities.
• Working with stakeholders, users, technical authorities and operational representatives to draw out, analyse and write down what is really required.
• Translating operational needs into engineering, system, functional and non-functional requirements that can be designed and tested against.
• Producing and maintaining the engineering artefacts around them, including traceability from the original need through to verification.
• Keeping requirements current as the capability evolves, and making the consequences of a change visible before it is agreed.
• Briefing and presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.

What you would bring

• Requirements engineering on real systems — elicitation, analysis, specification and verification, not documentation after the fact.
• A cyber security background solid enough to challenge a requirement that will not work.
• Experience of monitoring and detection capabilities, and of the tooling they are built on.
• Writing that survives review: clear, testable statements rather than aspirations.
• Working across a multinational organisation where stakeholders disagree and someone has to reconcile them.
• Fluent professional English.
