Job summary

Fohntech is seeking an experienced CSA Construction Manager to join our team in Belgium on a long-term mechanical engineering project.

You will oversee civil works installation, safety, QA, schedule, cost control, and coordination with sub-contractors and package leads; regular site meetings, weekly progress, and handover documentation.

Travel is required; a professional certification and 6–8 years on-site management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of site management experience.
• Experience supervising installation on civil works.
• Professional certification or equivalent qualification.
• Good technical knowledge of CSA systems.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and coordinate with multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the installation of the Civils scope of works in line with project expectations.
• Management of Site Safety with the Project Operations Manager & EHS Lead, including safety file setup and close-out.
• Management of Site QA with the CSA Package Manager, including file setup, management and close-out.
• Familiarity with and management of Project Schedule with other trades and Package Leads.
• Management of day-to-day on-site operations for the CSA packages.
• Assist with management of costs including CSA team, sub-contractors, materials, plant and variations.
• Track sub-contractor activities and progress against schedule and manpower levels.
• Attend weekly meetings and contribute to minutes; ensure weekly punch lists and close-out items are addressed.
• Issue labour hours to time administrator for central tracking.
• Participate in site meetings, reviews, planning, coordination, and handover meetings.
• Close out all project items (O&M Manuals, Punch List, Safety/QA Files) with CSA package manager.
• Produce weekly look-ahead and progress reports; maintain a weekly project diary.
• Schedule material deliveries to align with project schedule and track deliveries.

We are recruiting an experiencedCSA Construction Manager to join our team in Fohntech.

This is a long term project working for a leading Mechanical engineering contractor on prestigious leading-edge project.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Overseeing the installation of the Civils scope of works ensuring all aspects are completed in line with expectations.
  
• Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Project Operations Manager & EHS Lead. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the safety file as part of the Management team.
  
• Management of Site QA in conjunction with the CSA Package Manager including set up, management and close out of file.
  
• Familiarity with and management of Project Schedule in conjunction with other trades and Package Leads.
  
• Management of all day to day on site operations for the CSA packages.
  
• Assist with the management of all costs associated with your package including:
  

• CSA Team
  
• Sub-contractors
  
• Material deliveries and goods receipting.
  
• Plant and Equipment
  
• Variations
  

• Familiarity with and management of Project Schedule in conjunction with other trades and Package Leads.
  
• Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Ensure Attend and contribute to a weekly minute’s meeting with sub-contractor.
  
• Management of the In Progress snagging system ensuring that you return weekly punch lists where applicable.
  
• Issue direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours to time administrator for tracking centrally.
  
• Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings where required.
  
• Close out of all project items including O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File – all with the support of the CSA package manager
  
• Implement a weekly look ahead ensuring co-ordination with other trades.
  
• Issue internal weekly progress report, Supervisors report. This will highlight progress percentage complete based on WBS codes and any concerns.
  
• Schedule material deliveries to correspond with the project schedule. Track deliveries.
  
• Maintain a weekly project photographic diary.
  
• Any other duties associated with the role.
