Carpenter in Wetteren is seeking a Business Controller to set up financial planning, budget control, and reporting policies for the Engineered Foams department. The successful candidate will provide periodic financial reports, conduct business performance analysis, and assist with audits. Requirements include a Master's degree in economics or finance, at least 3 years of experience in finance, and fluency in Dutch and English. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are essential.

Introduction

As Business Controller you contribute to the set-up of the financial planning, budget control and reporting policies for the Engineered Foams department. You also analyze data and results and you report on findings and formulate recommendations. You call to action in line with financial & business plan in order to advise and support management in the realization of the objectives in terms of efficiency, cost control, sales and profitability sharing. You provide and analyze financial information in order to contribute to management decisions.

Your Tasks

• You perform the monthly closing process for the Wetteren Engineered Foams department.
• You provide periodic financial reports for the Wetteren production site and the business management team.
• You draw up budget and forecasts.
• You are responsible for business performance analysis.
• You report on working capital.
• You support in internal and external audits.
• You give your support in preparing the investment files.
• You assist in special projects as required.

Your Profile

• You have a master in economics, finance, controlling or accounting.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in finance.
• Working in an industrial environment is an asset.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken) with excellent communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• You are an expert in Microsoft Excel.
• You have knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
• You can work independently but also able to work in different types of teams.
• You have an analytical mindset and are able to link and synthesize complex data.
• You are able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• You are eager to learn.
