Pauwels Consulting is assisting a leading organization in the pharmaceutical and petrochemical sectors to hire a Construction Manager to oversee a large portfolio of infrastructure and utilities projects across office environments and industrial facilities.

This role requires coordinating on-site construction activities, developing look-ahead schedules, leading site meetings, ensuring HSE compliance, and reviewing drawings to enable pragmatic execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Engineering (Electrical, Industrial, Chemical) or Construction.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in construction management for industrial and infrastructure projects.
• Experience in regulated environments (pharma or petrochemical) with HSE governance knowledge.
• Fluency in French and professional English.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and budget compliance.
• Develop and manage detailed short-term execution schedules, including 3-week look-ahead planning.
• Lead multidisciplinary site coordination meetings and act as the primary interface between project teams and contractors.
• Perform constructability reviews and resolve technical or logistical issues to minimize project delays.
• Supervise HSE governance by conducting site inspections, managing permits, and enforcing safety documentation standards.
• Monitor physical progress and productivity, providing regular reports to project management and technical experts.
• Review engineering documents, drawings, and method statements to ensure pragmatic and efficient execution solutions.

• You have a strong background in regulated environments, specifically within the pharmaceutical or petrochemical industries.
• You possess extensive knowledge of HSE regulations and field application.
• You have demonstrated experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing on-site contractors.
• You are autonomous, proactive, and have a pragmatic problem-solving approach.
• You are fluent in French with a professional level of English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with HVAC, piping, electrical infrastructure, and building systems.
• Knowledge of GMP-related environments and CAPEX project delivery.
• Experience with CAD and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
