Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As our products and services scale globally, we work behind the scenes to secure infrastructure to build Google's future. The Strategic Partnership Office (SPO) operates at the intersection of industrial innovation, external affairs, and civic impact, bridging Google’s technology capabilities with real-world partners. Within SPO, the Economic and Community Development team is a vertically integrated organization responsible for analyzing and mitigating economic, community, and labor risks to deliver an optimized inventory of assets meeting business operating needs, ensuring growth and resilience through place-based strategies. We provide hyperlocal civic impact, community sustainability, and external engagement strategies, programs, and tools to expand economic, community, and workforce development outcomes.

As a Community Development Manager based in Belgium, you will combine community engagement and industry knowledge to support Google’s infrastructure growth in Belgium. This role supports SPO’s strategic goals by providing data-driven insights and executing programmatic engagement based on community assessments across existing and prospective data center markets. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive measurable social impact, cultivate relationships with key opinion formers (KOFs), government officials, and community leaders, and research new in-market opportunities. Additionally, you will help entrench community development best practices across a rapidly growing organization, serving as a subject matter expert on data center delivery and strategic community engagement.

  • Develop communication tools and processes to educate local communities about the role and impact of our data centers, and create locally focused investment plans that are self-sustaining.
