Job summary

HumanInTech Brussels is seeking a skilled mainframe developer to work on a registry project enabling electronic identity card issuance for diplomatic personnel in Belgium. You will design, test, and maintain transaction and management products within the central mainframe system as defined by the analysis.

Required 3–5 years of experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong Cobol skills. The role is based in Brussels with no remote work option, offering full-time engagement either as a freelancer

Qualifications

• Confirmed experience as a mainframe developer.
• Strong Cobol programming skills.
• Knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
• Knowledge of English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Developing and testing new transaction products and management products within the central mainframe system as specified in the analysis.
• Implementing, managing impact and maintaining the developed applications.
• Continuously adapting, optimising and further developing existing functionalities.
