Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to design scalable, secure cloud-native systems on AWS and Azure. You will lead engineering teams, drive API management and observability initiatives, and implement CI/CD and IaC practices using Terraform and CloudFormation.

The role requires 8+ years in cloud architecture, strong communication, and certifications such as AWS or Azure. Fluency in English and ability to work with Belgian stakeholders are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Cloud solution architecture.
• Experience in designing scalable, cost-efficient solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
• Proven leadership in managing engineering teams.
• Fluent English; French or Dutch language skills are a plus.
• Cloud platform certifications (AWS/Azure) preferred.

Description du poste

Design end-to-end technical solutions using cloud-native architectures on AWS and/or Azure
Architect scalable and secure microservices-based systems
Apply best practices for resilience, scalability, observability, and maintainability
Develop and manage API Gateway and API Operations strategies
Ensure integration across platforms, services, and third-party applications
Implement API lifecycle management, including design, testing, monitoring, and deprecation
Define and implement observability strategies for system health, performance, and reliability
Use Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent tools to track metrics, logs, and traces
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues proactively
Establish CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployment with DevOps teams
Drive Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
Ensure secure and efficient cloud infrastructure provisioning and maintenance
Advise engineering teams on architectural best practices
Work with stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
Mentor and guide engineering teams in modern architectural and operational practices
Lead a team of professionals, drive innovation, and deliver solutions for European customers

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms and designing scalable, cost-efficient solutions
• Strong knowledge of API design, API gateways such as Kong and AWS API Gateway, and API lifecycle management
• Expertise in system integration using middleware, APIs, and event-driven architectures
• Proficiency with observability tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar
• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible, and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
• In-depth understanding of microservices patterns, service mesh such as Istio, and distributed systems
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Cloud solution architecture
• At least 3 years in management and leadership roles
• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Proficiency in French or Dutch
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence stakeholders
• Certification in cloud platforms, such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect
