The Financial Mechanism Office (FMO) in Brussels seeks a Sector Officer for Civil Society and programme manager for a selection of Civil Society Fund programmes. You will lead interdisciplinary programme teams, work with Fund Operators, and engage with Donor States to advance democracy, human rights, and social inclusion.

This role requires a Master’s degree and at least six years of relevant experience in grant and programme management, with travel across Europe.

Qualifications

• A Master’s-level university degree in a relevant field.
• A minimum of six years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of five years in grant, programme and/or project management.
• Experience with grant, programme and/or project management, including monitoring progress, assessing risks, ensuring results-based management and preparing reports.
• Demonstrated knowledge of European policies, initiatives and developments relevant to the civil society sector.
• Strong interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity and a flexible, pragmatic and result-oriented attitude.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and manage a portfolio of Civil Society Fund programmes in the Beneficiary States, supporting development and implementation and leading programme teams.
• Maintain regular communication with Fund Operators and other programme stakeholders for effective cooperation.
• Compile, analyse and communicate programme results, lessons learned and trends.
• Monitor civil society developments across Europe and provide strategic advice to Donor States.
• Contribute to policy discussions and initiatives related to civil society at European level.
