DEME Group seeks a Chief Officer for Jack-up vessels to lead the navigation team during 12-hour watches and act as Captain’s stand-in in their absence. You will ensure safe Jacking operations and deck management, coordinating daily deck activities and supervising crew.

You will implement safety procedures and VMS, analyze incidents, maintain logs, and support mobilizations and repairs, while maintaining high safety and environmental standards on offshore rotations.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid STCW II/2 Chief Mate license.
• Proven experience with Jacking operations.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Proficiency in English for operations and reporting.
• Willingness to work in offshore rotations.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate the daily deck operations for the vessel.
• Supervise the deck crew and ensure discipline and safety.
• Oversee Jacking operations and related planning.
• Apply DEME safety procedures and VMS at all times.
• Analyze incidents and follow up on audits and actions.
• Responsible for navigation and voyage planning.
• Maintain ship’s log and records accurately.
• Oversee ballast operations and waste management.

As Chief Officer on board our Jack-up vessels, you are in charge of the navigation team in a 12 hour watch under supervision of the Captain. Serving as the Captain’s right-hand person and acting as his or her substitute in their absence. You are responsible for safe and efficient Jacking operations and deck management.

Your responsibilities

• You co-ordinate the daily deck operations
• You supervise the deck crew
• You are in charge of Jacking operations
• You implement the DEME safety procedures and VMS
• You analyze incidents and follow up on audits
• You are responsible for navigation and the voyage planning
• You keep the ship’s log and the records up to date
• You are responsible for ballast operations and waste management
• You assist with mobilizations and repairs

Your profile

• You hold a valid STCW II/2 Chief Mate license
• You have proven Jacking experience
• You have strong leadership skills
• You are proficient in English
• You are willing to work in offshore rotations
