Janssen in Belgium is building CAR‑T manufacturing centers near Ghent. We seek a Cell Processing Engineer to own parts of the production process, ensuring robust, compliant operation and cross‑functional collaboration across Operations, Quality and MSAT.

You will monitor processes, assess changes, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining inspection readiness and high‑quality execution in a pioneering environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a scientific or technical field (Engineering, Bioscience, Pharmacy, Biochemistry).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in aseptic manufacturing and GMP environments.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic manufacturing, shop floor processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in commissioning, qualification, validation, or CAR‑T is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage priorities, communicate clearly, and influence stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving skills with a proactive, patient‑focused mindset.

Responsabilités

• Own a defined part of the manufacturing process with end‑to‑end oversight of materials, flows and documentation.
• Act as Operational SME, supporting technical decision‑making in process design and qualification.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives, manage process risks such as contamination.
• Ensure documentation, knowledge building, and training including SOPs, WIs, eBRs, and technical writing.
• Ensure quality and compliance including change control, investigations, inspection readiness, and audits.
• Support systems and digital integration (MES, SAP) to enable efficiency and compliance.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration with QA, QC, MSAT, EHS, IT and Planning on the shop floor.
