Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is building two CAR-T manufacturing centers in the Ghent area and seeks a Cell Processing Engineer to own a defined part of the manufacturing process. You will work with Operations, Quality, and MSAT to ensure robust, compliant, and high-performing production.

You combine process knowledge with GMP expertise and on-the-floor presence to drive monitoring, change assessments, and continuous improvement, while ensuring inspection readiness and high-quality

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a scientific or technical field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aseptic manufacturing and GMP environments.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic manufacturing, shop floor processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in commissioning, qualification, validation, or CAR‑T is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage priorities, communicate clearly, and influence stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a quality- and patient-focused mindset.

Responsabilités

• Own a defined part of the manufacturing process, ensuring performance and end-to-end oversight of materials, flows, and documentation.
• Act as Operational SME, supporting technical decision-making and process design/qualification activities.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and proactively manage process risks (e.g. contamination, mix-ups).
• Ensure documentation, knowledge building, and training (SOPs, WIs, eBRs, technical writing).
• Ensure quality and compliance, including change control assessment, investigations, inspection readiness, and audits.
• Support systems and digital integration (MES, SAP, etc.) to enable efficiency and compliance.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment with on-the-floor presence.
