Job summary
UCLouvain invites applications for a part-time academic position in Canon Law. Qualifications
- STD in Canon Law or PhD in Law with Master of Canon Law
- Proven university teaching record with publications of international standing
- Extended stay or significant experience abroad
- Fluency in French and English; other languages are assets
Responsibilities
- Teach Canon Law (contemporary canon law, internal and external validity, comparative religious law)
- Deliver lectures across degree programmes and supervise Master’s theses
- Develop research activities and lead programmes in canon law focusing on current canon law
- Supervise doctoral theses and sit on thesis committees in theology and religious studies
- Take on responsibilities within the Group of French-speaking Canonists of Belgium and undertake expert assignments
- Contribute to service activities (committee work, management) within the faculty and institute
