Job summary

EMW in Mons, Belgium, seeks a Senior Engineer DCS to lead Enterprise Service Operations Centre level-2 network support. You will manage daily operations, incidents, changes, and problem management to ensure service continuity across enterprise environments.

The role requires a NATO SECRET clearance, CCNP (Enterprise) certification, and 7+ years in enterprise networking with expertise in BGP/OSPF/STP, Splunk, and automation of configuration management. Some after-hours work may be needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• ESOC Engineer, Enterprise Service Operations Centre Level 2 network support.
• Manage daily network operations, ticketing, incidents, work orders, changes and problem management.
• Network optimization, capacity planning, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
• Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, and STP routing/switching.
• Monitor health using CA Spectrum and Splunk; create dashboards, alerts, reports.
• Analyze logs/telemetry to identify risks, incidents and performance issues.
• Automate configuration management, backups, and change validation.
• Track availability, latency, bandwidth, and device health with monitoring tools.
• Lead incident response for critical outages and coordinate stakeholders.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex network issues and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain documentation, standards, and procedures for the network environment.
• Some work outside normal office hours may be required.

Duties & Role:

• ESOC Engineer, Enterprise Service Operations Centre Level 2 network support;
• Manage daily network operations, ticketing, incidents, work orders, changes and problem management.
• Network Optimization, capacity planning, upgrades, and lifecycle activities across enterprise environments;
• Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, and STP;
• Monitor network health using CA Spectrum and Splunk and other monitoring platforms; create dashboards, alerts, and operational reports;
• Analyze logs and telemetry data to proactively identify risks, incidents, and performance issues;
• Improve operational efficiency through automation of configuration management, backups, and change validation;
• Utilize network monitoring tools to track availability, latency, bandwidth, and device health;
• Lead incident response for critical outages, coordinate stakeholders, and restore services within SLA targets;
• Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex network issues and strategic initiatives;
• Maintain accurate documentation, standards, and operational procedures for the network environment;
• Some work outside normal office hours may be required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
• Minimum CCNP certification (Enterprise or equivalent advanced networking certification).
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering and operations.
• Strong expertise in routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, STP).
• Experience with Splunk for monitoring, log analysis, troubleshooting dashboards, and alerting.
• Hands-on knowledge of network monitoring tools.
• Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and major outage resolution.
