EMW in Mons, Belgium, is seeking a CIS Security Engineer with NATO SECRET clearance to support project delivery and infrastructure security hardening on-site. The role focuses on maintaining secure configurations, monitoring posture, and remediation of security findings in a 100% on-site capacity.

Responsibilities include deployment of security products, continuous monitoring, and delivering secure, compliant infrastructure across hybrid-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer and communication security principles.
• Hands-on Linux OS experience and Linux hardening practices.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools.
• Familiarity with security technologies for hybrid-cloud, SASE and On-Prem DMZ.
• Experience with cyber hygiene and CIS controls.
• Practical systems administration experience.
• Strong analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

Duties & Role

• Provide support for project implementation, and delivery of infrastructure security solutions
• Ensure the stability and performance of deployed systems, services and applications post-implementation, through continuous monitoring and addressing any emerging issues in a timely manner.
• Apply approved security configurations (hardening settings), and continuously maintain the security posture of the infrastructure elements
• Contribute to remediation of CIS security findings for infrastructure elements
• Plan, deploy, and configure a variety of hardware, software, and security products;
• Perform other duties as may be required

Skill, Knowledge & Experience

• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
• Knowledge of the principles of computer and communication security, networking, and the vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications.
• Knowledge of and proven experience with linux OS, infrastructure as code and automation tools
• Knowledge of security technologies and solutions specific to hybrid-cloud, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and On-Premise DMZ capabilities
• Experience with Cyber Hygiene and the Critical Security Controls for effective cyber defence.
• Practical hands-on experience with systems administration.
• Ability to investigate and analyse complex scenarios and solve problems in innovative ways
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and successfully articulate complex issues to a variety of audiences and teams
