Biocodex is seeking a Finance Controller to support month-end and year-end closing, budgeting and forecasting processes across OPEX and cost allocations. This role partners with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to deliver insights and drive cost efficiency.

You will work in a dynamic finance team, leveraging OneStream and ERP systems, with a focus on accurate reporting and proactive business partnering across the Benelux region.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in controlling, FP&A, financial analysis, or similar finance role.
• Strong knowledge of financial closing, budgeting, forecasting, OPEX management, and variance analysis.
• Solid analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and recommendations.
• Business-oriented and able to partner with non-finance stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and other functions.
• Hands-on, accurate, detail-oriented, with ownership and deadlines in mind.
• Proactive, solution-oriented and able to challenge assumptions while improving processes.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with OneStream, ERP systems, and/or demand planning is a strong asset.
• Fluent in Dutch & French, English is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Support month-end and year-end closing with focus on OPEX analysis and reconciliations.
• Prepare and report monthly financial results in OneStream.
• Deliver variance analyses vs. prior year, budget and forecast.
• Support annual budgeting, 3-year plan, and rolling forecasts with OPEX inputs.
• Perform validations on purchase orders and invoices with proper cost allocation.
• Ensure correct cost allocation and alignment with financial reporting.
• Monitor provisions to support accurate P&L closing.
• Partner with business across products, customers and new initiatives.
• Provide cost performance insights to support decision-making.
• Contribute to cost optimization initiatives and ad hoc ROI analyses.
• Act as sparring partner to stakeholders applying clear financial methodologies.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to improve business performance.
• Run control checks on key processes to ensure policy and contract alignment.
• Develop and maintain demand forecast models and integrate with sales/marketing.

What you’ll do

• Financial Closing & Budgeting Support the month-end and year-end closing process, with a focus on OPEX analysis and reconciliations
• Prepare and report monthly financial results in OneStream
• Deliver qualitative and quantitative variance analysis vs. previous year, budget, and forecast
• Support the annual budgeting process, 3-year plan, and rolling forecasts, with ownership of OPEX-related inputs
• Perform technical validations on purchase orders and invoices (accounting codes, cost allocation)
• Ensure correct cost allocation and consistency with financial reporting
• Monitor and track provisions to support accurate P&L closing, including timely booking and reversal
• Business Partnering & Analysis Support profitability analysis across products, customers, and new initiatives
• Act as a key partner for cost-related topics, supporting departments in managing and optimizing OPEX
• Provide insights on cost performance and efficiency to support decision-making
• Perform ad hoc analyses and support business cases (ROI, cost optimization initiatives)
• Act as a sparring partner to stakeholders by applying clear financial methodologies
• Participate in cross-functional projects to improve business performance
• Perform control checks on key business processes (sales conditions, order processing, and returns) to ensure alignment with approved policies and contractual terms
• Demand Planning Develop and maintain demand forecast models based on business inputs and trends
• Integrate forecasts from Sales & Marketing into financial planning models
• Analyze forecast accuracy and support improvements
• Support risk assessments related to demand and supply planning
• Process Improvement & Governance Contribute to improving financial processes, with a focus on cost control and reporting efficiency
• Support the development and documentation of financial procedures

What you bring

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in controlling, FP&A, financial analysis, or a similar finance role
• Strong knowledge of financial closing, budgeting, forecasting, OPEX management, and variance analysis
• Solid analytical skills, with the ability to turn financial data into clear insights and recommendations
• Business-oriented and comfortable partnering with non-finance stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other functions
• Hands-on, accurate, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and respect for deadlines
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to challenge assumptions constructively while improving processes
