Belgie Vacature is seeking a Bus Mechanic for our client in Affligem or Lede. The role involves independent mechanical and electrical repairs on buses, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and guiding junior technicians.

Training will be provided by various bus manufacturers, and you will work in a modern workshop with a supportive team. The ideal candidate has a technical background in vehicle mechanics, knowledge of electronics, and the ability to read electrical diagrams.

Qualifications

• Solid technical background in vehicle mechanics.
• Knowledge of vehicle electronics and ability to read electrical diagrams.
• Proactive with good problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate in English, Dutch or French.
• Experience with suspension systems, brakes, filters and general servicing.

Responsabilités

• Independently perform mechanical and electrical repairs and installations on buses (simple and complex).
• Carry out preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
• Accurately report maintenance work using garage application.
• Lead when necessary and guide fellow technicians.
• Participate in training courses provided by bus manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform both simple and complex mechanical and electrical repairs and installations on buses.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
• Report all maintenance and repair work accurately using the company's garage application.
• Take the lead when necessary and provide support and guidance to fellow technicians.
• Participate in technical training courses provided by various bus manufacturers.

Our client is a well-established company operating in all segments of passenger transport, including public transport, school and company transport, and coach tourism services. With multiple locations across Belgium and Luxembourg, they are looking for a skilled Bus Mechanic to strengthen their garage team in Affligem or Lede.

Qualifications / Profile

• You have a solid technical background in vehicle mechanics.
• You have knowledge of vehicle electronics and can read electrical diagrams.
• You are passionate about technology and work accurately, safely, and independently.
• You hold a technical secondary education (TSO) diploma in Automotive Technology or have equivalent experience.
• You are proactive, able to identify technical issues, and find effective solutions.
• You communicate well in English, Dutch, or French.
• Experience with the maintenance of suspension systems, brakes, filters, and general vehicle servicing is required.
• Experience working on trucks is an advantage; experience with buses is even better.
• A Category B driving licence is considered an asset, as occasional roadside assistance may be required.
