Arcadis is seeking a Building Project Manager to oversee projects in the building construction sector, from office buildings to hospitals. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and coordinate scope, schedule, and budget to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will maintain client contacts, translate requirements into concepts with engineers and designers, ensure contracts are properly managed, and guide project handovers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; good working knowledge of French.
• Autonomous, proactive, well-organised and detail-oriented.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Project; driving licence category B.

As a Building Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of projects in the building construction sector, including office buildings, residential developments, industrial facilities, pharmaceutical plants, hospitals, and similar projects. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the Team Manager.

This means that you will:

• Take responsibility for the overall management and coordination of projects.
• Maintain close contact with clients and understand their needs and expectations.
• Translate client requirements into project concepts, supported by experts from various building disciplines, including Structural Engineering, HVAC, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Fire Protection, and others.
• Ensure that project scopes are properly managed and that deliverables meet the required quality standards.
• Manage contracts (with legal support where required) and oversee project administration, including forecasting, budget and hours monitoring, invoicing (with support from the back-office team), and financial reporting.
• Ensure quality control in collaboration with discipline leads, managing interfaces and verifying the suitability of proposed solutions.
• Be responsible for planning and schedule control.
• Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Monitor and coordinate technical studies, including drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
• Ensure the successful management of construction activities and project handovers.
• Provide technical support in the preparation of proposals and contracts.

What are your strengths?

• You hold a degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English and have a good working knowledge of French.
• You are autonomous, proactive, well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively within a team while maintaining a strong focus on quality.
• You possess excellent coordination and communication skills.
• You are proficient in standard Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Project.
• You hold a valid Category B driving licence.
