Job summary

MSIG Specialty Marine in Rotterdam is seeking an Underwriter Builders Risk to join our team. You will work at the intersection of technical underwriting, commercial thinking, and relationship management, underwriting complex risks and supporting portfolio decisions.

This role offers ownership and progression, exposure to international markets, broker interaction, and opportunities to shape portfolio development while growing your expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience in marine insurance or underwriting
• Ability to assess complex risks and make informed decisions
• Comfortable working with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders
• Wamiliarity with risk-based portfolio development and management

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Builders’ Risk and related energy risks in line with appetite and guidelines
• Own and develop a portfolio, or support portfolio management
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients
• Conduct risk assessments using data, insight, and market knowledge
• Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to improvements
• Contribute to underwriting strategy and identify opportunities
• Collaborate with claims and internal teams to ensure alignment
• Represent MSIG Specialty Marine in the market
