Job summary

Talentus, Belgian HR specialists, connects you with a growing mid-sized employer. We seek a Boekhoudkundig medewerker to join the finance team and support the head accountant and CFO in day-to-day closing, VAT, and invoicing tasks.

You will handle journal entries, VAT returns, and supplier/customer invoicing, while ensuring tax compliance. The role includes year-end adjustments and payroll support, with a flexible schedule and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting-Fiscality or equivalent by experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role as a bookkeeper.
• Knowledge of Belgian accounting legislation and taxation; Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Record bank and cash statements.
• Enter journal entries and VAT returns preparations.
• Process and post invoices (sales, purchases, service invoices).
• Match goods invoices with goods receipts and post.
• Handle customer and supplier discounts at year end.
• Assist with annual audit and monthly closings including provisions and payroll processing.
