Veolia in the port of Antwerp is seeking a Process Operator to optimize biomethanization processes and ensure stable operation via SCADA controls.

You will inspect and maintain the installation, monitor production, perform lab analyses, record changes, and be on-call 1 week per month with weekend duties after training. A technical associate degree and safety-conscious mindset are required, with willingness to work in shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree diploma in a technical field or equivalent by experience.
• Good knowledge of pneumatics, electricity and basic knowledge of control equipment.
• BA4/BA5, forklift, work-at-height, and telehandler certificates are assets.
• Basic knowledge of Dutch and English.
• Independent, flexible worker who carries out tasks punctually and accurately.
• Very safety-conscious behavior.
• Team player and able to report to hierarchical line.
• On-call system to guarantee continuity of services.
• Willing to be on standby for 1 week/month.
• Shifts between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
• Driving licence B.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and inspect the biomethanization installation and digestates treatment.
• Record changes in the process using SCADA.
• Monitor installation and supervise production.
• Carry out laboratory analyses and administrative follow-up.
• Evaluate daily bio and chemistry culture and adjust as needed.
• Ensure acceptance of incoming organic substances and document checks.
• Support on-call duty as required.
