Sword Group in Brussels is seeking a Data & BI Architect to design and maintain Enterprise Data Warehouses and BI solutions. You will craft cloud and on‑prem architectures, model data, and oversee ETL and data quality initiatives.

The role requires strong SQL, data warehousing expertise, and experience with data lakes, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and BI reporting tools, with collaboration across multi‑disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of data warehouse design and architecture.
• Strong knowledge of data lake / data lakehouse design and architecture.
• Excellent knowledge of relational database systems applied to data warehouse.
• Very good knowledge of cloud‑based business intelligence technologies.
• Knowledge of non‑relational database technologies.
• Strong expertise in data warehouse and big data (structured and unstructured data).
• Strong expertise with object‑oriented programming; proficiency in Python would be an asset.
• Expertise with migration of data infrastructure to cloud (AWS, Azure) would be an asset.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL.
• Excellent knowledge of business intelligence reporting tools.
• Excellent knowledge of ETL tools.
• Excellent knowledge of modelling tools.
• Excellent knowledge of OLAP and data mining tools.

Responsabilités

• Design and maintain Enterprise Data Warehouses and BI Solutions (Data Lakes / Data Lakehouses).
• Design architectures on cloud and on premises (hybrid).
• Gather business requirements for BI solutions.
• Design ETL processes and data models.
• Perform data analysis and data modeling.
• Data virtualization and physical DB design for performance.
• Develop data quality and health monitoring processes.
• Elaborate test programs and write technical documentation.
• Assist deployment and configuration of systems.
• Participate in project team meetings.
