Responsibilities

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior European Funding Consultant,you willcoordinate the submission process of complex, large scale, multi-stakeholder proposals to majorEuropean funding programsacross a wide range ofpublic andindustrial sectors. You will securefunding opportunities that align with your clients’ strategies. OurEuropeanGrants Team worksclosely with the national experts in the Leyton countries.

In direct relation with the client’s executive-level or project leads, youare responsible for:

• Detection of funding opportunities:youanalyseprojects andidentifymostappropriate co-fundingopportunities for your clients at national and European level, accurately assessing the feasibility of projects, and liaising with the national teams to assess national opportunities as well.

• Coordination:youare able tocoordinate international consortia or across multiple local divisions of a multinational company.

• Representation:yourepresentLeyton and its clients’ strategic interests at various (networking) events.

• Communication:youoperateas a key-contact internally/externally and towards the public authorities; you contribute to the shaping of new communication tools and their content.

• Troubleshooting:youare quick to signal potential issues and find pragmatic solutions that work smoothly for all parties involved.

• Business development:activelysupportingthelead generation and business developmentandparticipatingin the drafting of commercial proposals.

• Building partnerships:you help our clientsto findpartners all over Europe, form consortiaandgather political support for their projects.

• Proposal management:you quickly understand the strengths and weaknesses of a project/businessin order totranslate it into a convincing grantapplication,you supportyour colleaguesduring the drafting phases, reviewing and co-drafting proposals.

• Client management: you manage and foster relationships with Leyton’s clients, including during the proposalmanagement.

• Training and coaching:sharing yourexpertise, you helpcolleagues across Europe develop their knowledge and skills regarding (EU) Grants.

Qualifications

PROFILE

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Europeanfundingprogrammes(e.g.Innovation Fund, Connecting Europe Facility, EuropeanDefenceFund, Horizon Europe, LIFE, etc. – experience with public affairs is a real plus.

• Strong interest ininnovation, climate,energyandsocietal challenges..

• Entrepreneurial,client-focusedmindsetwithexcellentwritingand communicationskills

• Comfortable interacting with senior executives in technical environments

• Adaptive and quick-thinkingparticularly in unexpected situations.

• Goodatsolving problemsin a creative and constructive way.

• Abilitytowork independentlyand,to define and meet specificobjectives.

• Rigorous and methodicalwith a strong capacity for analysis and synthesis.

• Provenclient managementexperienceandstrongnetworkingskills.

• Fluent in English.(additionalEuropean languagesarea plus).
