Qargo TMS is seeking a Backend Software Engineer in Ghent to join our international team. You will design, build, and maintain robust backend services and APIs powering our cloud-native Transport Management Platform.

You will work with Python, Django, GraphQL and Postgres on Google Cloud, focusing on reliability, performance, and scalability as our customer base grows across Europe. A strong ownership mindset and collaboration with cross‑functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Software Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years of backend development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn and collaborate.
• User‑first mentality with impact on real-world problems.
• Experience with large production Python codebases is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL queries in Postgres and BigQuery is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Back-end development for the TMS platform, focusing on core features and scalability.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python, Django, GraphQL.
• Improve cloud infrastructure and architecture to ensure reliability and future-proofing.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend and other backend engineers.
• Translate logistics challenges into scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute to team learning and knowledge sharing.
