Job summary

Aikido is seeking a Backend developer to join the Autofix team in Ghent. You will build and maintain backend services in TypeScript/Node.js, manage AWS deployments, and set up CI/CD pipelines in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

You should be comfortable with AI features, eager to learn new languages, and able to work from our Ghent office at least 3 days per week. We offer top-tier tech pay and equity and a culture with high trust and open atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• DevOps exposure and basic AWS knowledge.
• Comfortable with algorithms and data structures.
• Willing to learn new languages and adapt to a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services in TypeScript/Node.js (and Python, PHP when needed).
• Manage AWS and Lambda deployments.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Design scalable, high-availability systems and document features.
• Handle asynchronous programming and optimize code for speed.
• Explore and integrate AI features.
