Koda Tech is seeking an Azure Data Engineer on a freelance basis to design and implement cloud-based data solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will build data pipelines, warehouses, and data lake architectures while supporting analytics and AI use cases.

The role is 12 months with a hybrid work arrangement and requires fluency in Dutch. You will collaborate in agile teams and help advance data tooling and best practices across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience within Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a similar position.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and modern cloud data platforms.
• Experience with Git/GitHub for source control and collaboration.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally using Terraform.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Experience with Databricks.
• Knowledge of dbt, Apache Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
• Experience with Linux scripting.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Exposure to analytics and AI-focused data platforms.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain data solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Build and optimise data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lake architectures.
• Support analytics, business intelligence, and AI use cases within the data platform.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across the data landscape.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, processes, and integrations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners within agile delivery teams.
• Contribute to the development of tools, frameworks, and best practices that support data engineering teams.
