Meet Life Sciences in Ghent, Belgium, is seeking an experienced Freelance Cloud Engineer for an initial 6-month on-site contract starting ASAP. The role focuses on designing, implementing and automating modern cloud infrastructure across Azure, Kubernetes (AKS) and Terraform.

You will collaborate with DevOps, Data and AI teams to deliver scalable, reliable cloud solutions, build CI/CD pipelines, and apply IaC practices to improve automation and deployment efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of cloud engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Kubernetes, ideally AKS.
• Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Proven experience with DevOps and CI/CD.
• Strong automation experience across infrastructure, provisioning and deployments.
• Experience delivering or supporting cloud solutions within Data & AI environments.
• Hands-on engineering mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Design, build and maintain cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Manage and develop Kubernetes environments, ideally AKS.
• Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments and cloud processes.
• Support the delivery of cloud solutions across Data & AI environments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply DevOps principles and best practices across cloud engineering.
• Improve the scalability, reliability and efficiency of cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Work closely with Data, AI, Software and DevOps teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate existing processes.
